We'd like to introduce to the Firebird club for the State of Connecticut - Charter Oak Firebird & Trans Am Club, or Charter Oak Birds for short.
The club is the CT chapter of the National Firebird-Trans Am club, and was formed in June, 2004. It is a club by the members, and for the members - your ideas for activities and club direction are welcomed and encouraged. We want this to be a fun organization for the membership, and all are invited to join. The only requirement is your interest in the Pontiac Firebird - even if you don't have one yet, you're welcome to join & get involved. All model Firebirds are invited - from 1967 through 2002.
We have a Membership Application in the Newsletter Section of this Web Site for your consideration. If any further information is needed, please contact our President, Brad Benoit at (203) 467-4482 CharterOakBirds@yahoo.com.
Thank you for your interest - we look forward to meeting you & your 'Birds!
Joe Genera, Vice President of the Charter Oak Firebird Club, drove this '99 Trans Am NASCAR pace car to visit the Boys & Girls Club on Friday, September 14th. The Charter Oak Firebird Club donated the proceeds of a car show to the Boys & Girls Club to support our programs. Program Director Socrate Joseph was on hand to gratefully accept the donation. The kids were able to check out all parts of the car, including the TV and DVD player on the inside. The children also learned from Joe, paralyzed from a workplace accident, about the special equipment he installed in the car that enables him to drive by using hand controls. The Boys & Girls Club appreciates all the hard work by the Charter Oak Firebird members for organizing the car show and for the generous donation
